Thirty years ago, Nike marked the beginning of- Just do it! and two years ago, the brand did it, giving a push to the women to follow their passion and dreams with bravery and endurance. When it comes to sports and athletics, brands often showcase masculinity. This was challenged by Nike and successfully brought on screen by Wieden and Kennedy- Delhi in the year 2016. The ad-film broke the stereotype and showcased the relentless spirit of women to do the best in life through sports. It brought the passionate and determined girl squad on screen, from Deepika Padukone (badminton player) and Rani Rampal (national hockey player) to Ishita Malaviya (surfer) along with 150 more girls performing the various sports activities like football, cricket etc. The communication head at Nike believes that the brand wishes to feature the unstoppable spirit of taking up sports in order to lead a healthy and balanced life.
